I'm the Auditor

Dec. 5th, 2008 | 05:23 pm

"David, your score for the position of Auditor I was a 96. You are the only one who scored this high. I am calling you to let you know of my offer and would like to know if you will accept this offer."

Yes! Of course!!

So anyway, I received the call today and accepted the job for the State of California Department of Industrial Relations as an Auditor. Finally! I'm employed! This position is in Oakland, so it looks like I'll be moving the bay area in the near future.

Speaking of which.. anyone know of any possible people/places looking for a tenant? I don't take up much space, I promise =P.

So I know you all probably wondered where that lawsuit against my parents went... yea definitely.. (that one i slaved over for like a year).

So basically I haven't heard anything since the end of March, which was weird. I had no idea what was going on. Finally today i received a letter from the opposing attorney. Let me quote the bold font:

Basically, the opposing lawyer is quitting the case! Reading further, he's also filing a claim saying that GP Stone, the opposing company, still owes him 5k!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH ^__________________________^

The case may not be over yet, but they lost their lawyer AND 5k! AND since the case was only worth like 2k, I must say... this feels awesome.

bad news: the meeting put a time frame on monthly reports that i now have to do, because 6 other reports, that is viewed by the higher ups, will be based on my information.

so to those not in davis... we're currently experiencing heavy rain and 40-60 mph winds. It's 7am and i had about 4 hours of sleep... i woke up because we just experienced a second of blackout. I hope none of you are actually driving long distances and to those of you not in davis/sac area: well even if i want to see you guys, I'd recommend not coming up until after this weather. Other areas like the bay area isn't exactly paradise either.

update 8:45am - we have a new tree! woot. We stole it from our neighbors... part of it is also pulling on a phone/power line. Good thing it hooked onto the top of the tree, so it didn't snap.... not yet at least....

9:14 - another flickering of power outages... we're now gonig outside to clear stuff to our new tree in the backyard...

reptitive court

Our court system is so freaking repitive, it's like being forced to go to school and write essays of "fuck you" over and over again in more ways than you ever thought possible.

sleepy house

Dec. 2nd, 2007 | 01:16 am

1 am... wow, i feel tired i wonder what time it is. whoa it's getting late... i can't believe everyone is still up. Well i'm going to grab a snack before i head to bed... this is when i find:

-My uncle passed out on the sofa with the tv and his laptop still on. He was playing chinese chess online and obviously he lost.

i threw a blanket on him, turned off the tv, and grabbed a banana from the kitchen. Then realized that i should probably check on everyone else...

-my parents are asleep in bed with their tv still on.

-my little brother asleep in bed with his psp still on... playing castlvania: symphony of the night. yes, that's the same version as the playstation 1 that i happen to play at least once a year. Of course.. i naturally took it from him, saved his game, and started playing it myself.

sigh... and i thought i was bad for falling asleep on the comptuer...

so i know you guys may not be as hyped as me... but..

another Final Fantasy Tactics!!@!@!!!!

quick review
ps1: FFT // my favorite! The one and only original, still the best imo.

gba: FFT Advance // similar enough, it was alright... stupid lame judges... grumble... i guess i expected too much.

psp: FFT The War of the Lions // exact copy of the ps1 version.. they kinda ruined the storyline, in my opinion. The dialogue is awesome though! (i've yet to finish this).

ps2: FF12 // not exactly FFT, but there were a ton of similarities!! This was pretty awesome, but the storyline was kinda bleh.

DS: FFA2 // I might have too high of hopes again, but i'm definitely sure that it'll be better than the first one... *crosses fingers.. pls no judges.. plz no judges..*

I can see why ppl would hate lawyers. They do it to themselves.

Oct. 21st, 2007 | 12:27 am

WARNING: this is basically me bitching about lawyers because i have been forced to spend so much freaking time researching and countering all this bullshit that this lawyer has been sending to my parents.

So i use to think... that sucks that so many ppl hate lawyers. Sure their job can sometimes require them to defend the wrong, but it's their job and that's how the our court system work.
Now.. i'd like to say.. fuck them. Damn POS.

Maybe not all of them, but enough of them bend the law enough to to get away with false claims. Last year my parents got into a dispute with a vender, GP Stone and Cabinets, over a kitchen set of cabinets and granite table tops. Basically they delivered the wrong items and would not respond to any letters, calls, or messages we sent them. We stopped our check, and now we're going to court.

It's been almost a year since this case started, it's been constantly delayed because fucking lawyer keeps delaying it and sending all these papers / trying to overload my parents with all this legal bullshit.

Here's what happened so far:
-They first sent a notice telling us of a possible lawsuit, but then decided to send any future notices to a secondary address that we do not currently own. After a couple months of nothing, the court decides to default that we failed to appear and the Plaintiff wins. We then had to go to court and argue over this, eventually coming up with evidence that we did not receive anything and that the letters were marked by the post office as failing to send. All this time in court, the lawyer still manages to tell blatant lies like "I handed it to him myself." I mean come on, wtf man. Of course, we won and they didn't get the default victory.

-So the court date is pushed and then suddenly we receive packages "requesting" admissions, interrogatories, depositions, questionnaires, etc. They sent an fat stack of 130+ questions to our door. Of course it's not requesting, since the law does allow both sides to do this and require both sides to respond. BUT the pos lawyer tries to get away with this 130+ BS when the system requires that there be no more than 37 questions. So yea, we send a letter back saying that's right bitch STFU. Of course, they send back the 37 questions and we have to answer all that crap in this stupid format. Of course out of hate, I also respond with my own questions, etc.

-Now, i'm stuck here writing an Opposition for Motion, because they sent some more packets of crap trying to convince the court that there is no need for the trial and there should swift action benefitting the Plaintiff. How? By convincing the judge with "undisputed facts" that only their side presents via this huge packet. So how do we stop this? We have to write our own. So now i'm sitting here doing more research on the law and writing this counter-motion.

Basically all this crap is intimidation and scare tactics in hopes that we don't know what to do and end up accidently forfeiting the case. Instead, i'm just forced to spend tons of time trying to properly counter this BS and because it's the court system, everything has to be done in such a round about way, that I end up spending loads of time just trying to understand what's going on and what to do. We are already handi-capped by the fact that we don't have a lawyer ourselves and my parents don't know much english. So basically my dad has spent countless trips to the courts asking questions on what to do.

I can totally understand why so many ppl lose when going up against a lawyer despite having evidence, lawyers are constantly pulling all this shit out of their ass in hopes that you'll fuck up before the trial. Also, everyone else is forced to do all this ON TOP OF THEIR JOB/daily life.

I guess i can say one thing... I sure am learning a lot about small claims courts. Anyway, back to staring at this mess of papers.

Learn something everyday.

Pieces taken from Wikipedia:
Anemia (AmE) or anæmia/anaemia (BrE), from the Greek (Ἀναιμία)(an-haîma) meaning "without blood", is a deficiency of red blood cells (RBCs) and/or hemoglobin. This results in a reduced ability of blood to transfer oxygen to the tissues, causing tissue hypoxia.

Anemia goes undetected in many people, and symptoms can be vague. Most commonly, people with anemia report a feeling of weakness or fatigue, general malaise and sometimes poor concentration. People with more severe anemia often report dyspnea (shortness of breath) on exertion.

Anemia diminishes the capability of individuals who are affected to perform physical activities. This is a result of one's muscles being forced to depend on anaerobic metabolism.

Anaerobic Metabolism
1. is the chemical and physiological process that the body makes and burns our energy without using oxygen. Usually from foods or stored energy from the body.

2. from about.com: The creation of energy through the combustion of carbohydrates in the absence of oxygen. This occurs when the lungs cannot put enough oxygen into the bloodstream to keep up with the demands from the muscles energy.

What can help. Mainly, need tons of iron.. spinach, red meat, etc. Also Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron, so eat fruit, drink OJ.

Why? Curiosity. Maybe.
